What's in a name? We have noticed several people calling one of our favorite games by several names: Bags, Bag Toss, Cornhole, etc...These are just some of the most common names for our favorite pastime. We prefer "Cornhole" of course, because of the history that follows the name.

Whether it's a friendly conversation over some beers or a public invite to a party, you may choose your words wisely when it comes to americas favorite back yard game.

Here is why you should consider using Cornhole as your go-to identifier:

cornhole bags

One story claims that the game was first played during the 14th century in Germany, then rediscovered in Ohio within the last century. American scholars confirm that a game of very similar nature was played amongst Native Americans in Midwest America, who filled pigs' bladders with dried beans and competitively tossed them for entertainment, notably, the Blackhawk tribe in Illinois.

Cornhole is tough! Let's be like the indians and cut open animals and fill their insides with corn and throw them around...

Or we could buy high quality bags and equipment right here at midwestcornhole.com. Hop on over to our bags page and grab an all weather set, throw some burgers on the grill and have a great time playing Cornhole. Yes, call it cornhole.

You may not have cut open an animal, but don't be embarrassed by the name. Cornhole is the game of legends... No one tells a legend about bags, baggo or bag toss. Cornhole however, there are legends that predate your life, you can be the legend of your neighborhood. Be the legend that your neighborhood needs, proclaim your love for cornhole and embrace your legendness. Your friends will respect you...maybe.
